Welcome to Henshaw’s House of Cocoa

We are a small artisan husband & wife team, based in the lovely village of Bramhall, Cheshire

We specialise in making scrumptious fresh, palm oil free truffles, bars and other chocolate goodies, all hand-crafted using delicious Belgian chocolate.

Our ingredients are sourced locally where possible and we use fine liqueurs and spirits. As well as keeping on trend with some of our unusual flavours, we also produce good old family favourites – and we have a selection of vegan chocolates too!

My passion for foodie things (and who doesn’t like food!) and baking stems back over 30 years, originally making cakes for family and friends as a hobby, whilst working as a secretary.

After being  made redundant I decided to re-train and change career and gained qualifications in Flour & Confectionery and Catering, together with training at the award winning Slattery Patissier & Chocolatiers.  It was whilst I was working in a fine dining restaurant a French pastry chef made the most exquisite cakes and chocolates.  It was then my obsession (as my husband calls it!) began.   Fast forward many years later and Henshaw’s House of Cocoa was born.

My husband John joined me 3 years ago and he not only helps with the chocolate production but he is head of packaging and Chief Gazebo carrier when we attend events.

We hope you enjoy eating our products as much as we enjoy making them.
