Terms & Conditions

The following sets out the terms and conditions governing the supply of goods, services and information on www.henshawshouseofcocoa.com and do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.


These Terms and Conditions, together with our current website prices, delivery details, contact details and privacy policy, set out the whole of our agreement relating to the supply of the products to you by us.




A minimum of 3 months agreement applies to all Chocolate Subscriptions. Payment will be taken out each month on a rolling basis until the Subscription is terminated. Subscription cancellations require one month’s notice – please email info@henshawshouseofcocoa.com providing the name and email address in connection with your payment.


We reserve the right to modify our Terms and Conditions at any time, upon reasonable written notice to you. We may also, upon reasonable written notice, in its sole and absolute discretion, cancel, change, suspend or modify any aspect of the Subscription at any time, including the availability of any Subscription or inclusions of Subscription.

You are not permitted to sell and must not offer for sale or re-sell any of our products. Henshaw’s House Of Cocoa reserves the right to cancel the contract between us if:


  • there is insufficient stock to deliver the products you have ordered. If this is the case, we will contact you to advise of an availability date or to offer you a substitute product.
  • One or more of the products you ordered was listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error.


If we do cancel your contract we will notify you and will re-credit to your account any sum deducted by us from your credit card as soon as possible.



Production Timescales


As most of our products are made fresh upon receipt of your order we require up to 5 working days for production prior to delivery. However,  if we can produce and supply your items sooner we will do so.


Should you need an item in a more urgent timeframe please contact us and we will endeavour to assist where possible.





Products shown on our website do not include a delivery charge. Post and packaging is based on orders to UK mainland only and are subject to change.


A full valid post code is required for every order. We will deliver the products ordered to the specific address given at the time you make the order. It is your responsibility to provide us with accurate delivery address details. We will not check or verify addresses supplied by you. We shall accept no liability if you do not receive your order as a result of you providing us with incorrect address details.


Please ensure that there is someone to accept delivery. Should delivery to the address not be possible, a card will be left to inform the recipient how they can collect their parcel or arrange re-delivery. It then becomes the recipient’s responsibility to arrange a suitable re-delivery date. We accept no liability if delivery is not made due to the recipient not being available, or if goods become unsuitable as a result of non-delivery.


We regret that we are unable to accept orders for delivery to an address containing a PO Box Number, or from persons placing an order whose own address contains a PO Box number.


We currently offer 2 delivery options inclusive of our standard 48 hours production time, however if we can produce and ship your items sooner we will do so. Orders placed on a Saturday or Sunday will be processed on the next available working day.


Should you need an item in a more urgent timeframe please contact us and we will endeavour to assist where possible.



UK Standard Delivery (5-7 Working days)

£3.95 for items up to 1kg and £5.95 per package over 1kg, UK mainland only.


UK Signed For (5-7 working days)

There is a delivery charge of £4.95 within the UK mainland only.



Delivery & Adverse Weather Conditions


We will make every effort to deliver your order on time. However, occasionally we may be affected by factors beyond our control, such as heat. In this instance we may delay your delivery, but we will contact you by email with our recommendation. Once in transit, we cannot accept responsibility of heat damage, which is beyond our control.





If for any reason you are not entirely satisfied with any product you have purchased from us, either because you feel they are faulty or damaged, you may return it to us, at your expense, within 7 working days of despatch. Provided it is returned in its original packaging and the product has not been consumed other than is reasonable to establish the quality of the product, you are not happy with, we will refund the entire purchase price including the cost of postage or alternatively we will exchange it for you.


If your returned chocolate is damaged, not in the original packaging or consumed more than was reasonable to establish the quality of product, we reserve the right to levy a charge commensurate with that loss.


We are unable to process returns or refunds on items that are just unsuitable or unwanted.





All our chocolates are freshly made in small batches to ensure they reach you in premium condition. They should not be put in a refrigerator but kept in a cool, dry place, away from strong sunlight and strong odour.





Our products are made in a kitchen that handles Nuts, Peanuts, Wheat, Sesame Seeds, Eggs, Soya, Sulphites and Milk.  Should you require further information please do not hesitate to contact us.
